Why is My Body Odor So Strong Suddenly
If someone calls you body odor today, hold on to emotions and don't be angry. In fact, you should be grateful because it might be a reminder of your weak immune system.
A study from Karolinska Institutet in Sweden revealed that people who are sick have different body odors from healthy people, as reported by Business Insider.
As evidenced by several previous studies, people with scrofula (a type of tuberculosis infection) that are identical to the body's scent resemble beer smell and smell a little like a butcher shop.
Again, a study by Karolinska Institutet published in Psychological Science, they want to prove more generally that body odor can be associated with any disease. Chaired by Mats Olsson, the researchers began the study by recruiting eight people to become samples.
In one session, each participant was injected with lipopolysaccharide (endotoxin known as the trigger of the immune system in humans). In another session, they were injected with a salt solution which certainly did not trigger an immune response.
In these two sessions they used t-shirts that absorb sweat which will be used as further research material.
After just a few hours, the research team then used eight lipopolysaccharide samples and eight samples from the injected salt water with two other new shirts to smell by 40 volunteers.
The volunteers were then asked to rate the smell of each shirt. As a result, of course the new T-shirt gets a good value compared to the T-shirt from the lipopolysaccharide sample and salt water.
Conclusion from the results of this study, people can detect disease by only smelling someone's body odor. Hmmm ... from now on I have to pay more attention to body odor myself.
